Background Information
In the latter part of 1997 the Lincolnshire Post-Polio Network achieved charity status by having our registration accepted by the Charity Commissioners for England and Wales. The following resources both explain what registration means and provide background information on how the UK charity registration system operates.

"Developed in 1995, CharityNet has fast established itself as a leading source of information on all aspects of the voluntary sector. Whether vistors to the site need access to resources or information or statistics, whether they are individual donors, companies, charities or government bodies, or whether they simply have a general interest in the voluntary sector, CharityNet can help them."
The site provides a search system using advanced concept based queries offering information on over 90,000 voluntary organisations worldwide.
