In order to minimise overheads we have for a number of years used Atomz's excellent free search engine service. Atomz may now include context driven Google advertisements in the search results. We have no control over the advertisements nor do we receive any payment for them. We are investigating alternative advertisement-free search engine facilities.

The Search Engine database was last updated on 4th February 2010 at 01:04:20 GMT/UTC*. New material added since that date and time will not be located by the search process. We seriously recommend you read Search Tips before executing anything more than a simple single keyword search. For example, avoid keywords such as "polio" otherwise the search results will include every page on this site!

The default is to search the entire site (excluding pages that duplicate text found elsewhere on the site e.g. What's New pages; and Web Site Rebuild News and Polio and Post-Polio News which have their own search facilities). However, you can limit your search to either the Library or Directory by selecting the appropriate parameter from the drop down menu below the search terms entry field. Please also note that none of our current search facilities cover PDF versions of the LincPIN, our newsletter.
